explanations...

I run an etsy shop: Lefthandmagenta, which sells enough notecards to fulfill all your notecard needs.

I believe that handmade, eco-friendly and simple are best, and I love color.

Been busy this week!

Had a lot of work going on, ugh!

So today, I want to remark on www.paper-source.com, I love their beautiful papers and all of their stuff is relatively inexpensive, especially stamps! I am an "anything paper" fanatic... I just love beautiful paper.

So I decided where I'm going to live next year, a really nice place close to campus... sometimes I think amenities are too ridiculous. Like this place has two pools, one right next to the other; theres another place close to it that has two clubhouses, two pools and a lazy river. What college student needs that? Most go home for the summer.

Applying for a summer job as a bank teller... unless I can find a better job right now. I'm excited about summer, I want to be done with this semester! We have a lottery scholarship here if you can keep a 3.0... I lost mine last year so I'm working hard to get it back, have to get a 3.51 this semester... ughh. I'll be ready for spring break when it gets here!

Okay, i had a 4 hour drive home today so that does it for today!

Newspaper print.

I'm sitting in class right now, a class discussing government and such, and I had a thought: how many of you etsy artists read the newspaper?

I read the NYT every morning or sometime during the day; I check the posts frequently; I read Newsmap as well.

So tell me, what is it you read/watch to get your news? blogs? newsmedia websites? physical newspapers? tv?

I am dying to know!

Soooo...

I'm wondering if I should try new things to add to my etsy... I love notecards but I am so excited about everything I do... and I'd probably make a ton more money. Still working on how to do the photos perfectly!

I'm in the middle of a kidney stone attack right now, ugh! It's a small one though, thank goodness.

Have any of you heard of Red rice & Sausage? It's mainly a Charleston (SC) dish, so I hear, but it's sooooo good if you make it right! (I made it for dinner, so its on the mind, lol) It's made with white rice, tomato sauce or paste depending on what you prefer (paste is better), onions, bacon, bell peppers and smoked sausage! I would have thrown some andouille sausage in there but the only place I can find it up here (right now I live near Greenville, SC) is Whole Foods, kind of far away for me to get to, tonight at least.

So I think that's what I've got to say for now! Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Ran across my fave for today store: Cherry Pop

Food jewelry that is tons of fun! Gosh, I just adore all these things! To the left, these are animal cracker brooches... so cute!

I love the things people can do with polymer clay, plastics and resin and this definitely falls into that category!

Wish I hadn't spent so much money today, but I'm hearting this shop and saving for later.

Check it out at http://cherrypop.etsy.com.

Oh how addictive.

I am incredibly addicted to creating things right now. It comes in these huge spurts for me: make everything all at once. I have 15 paintings sitting around, about 55 notecards, 2 collages, 3 scarves, 2 knitted clutches... the list goes on.

It's funny, when I feel creative, I do like nothing else, except for eating and sleeping. I'm so crazy.

I wonder if anyone else creates like I do.
